Many people today look at retirement as a worthy milestone in life. Today I share an example of bliss that moved me deeply and inspired me in a way that I will never be able to forget.
Bernardo, this is probably one of the most powerful messages and challenge, that if we all achieve would be a step towards human evolution. I couldn't help but think about the many people I have been so blessed with having the honor of coming in my life and in some way, having this exact same message. I would really love to share one in particular here, it is most fitting. I met Julia while I was living in Valparaiso, Chile. At the age of 1 month old, her son caught a virus that left him deaf. Determined to teach her son how to speak, Julia and her husband traveled to Europe to hace access to research the techniques in doing so. After many years of trial and error, her son was able to speak and read lips. Julia's mission did not stop here....She made her way back to Chile, and founded the Helen Keller institute. Julia thought about the many other kids who needed help...After 25 years, she gets asked, "why are you still doing this, you can retire and start enjoying life?" Julia's reply, "I am enjoying my life, this is my vocation, it is not a job!" Here is the full story, of one truly remarkable woman:) http://www.stayhungrybefoolish.com/2012/03/20/nothing-is-impossible/
