Stay true to yourself (60 second video)

Staying true to yourself is about being humbleness in action, about remembering to love instead of seeking love or approval. What could you accomplish if you lived completely true to yourself?

Here at Blogworld I had the opportunity to meet some amazing and some very interesting people. It is always so much fun to interact and learn from others. I’m always fascinated by how humble and true some people are and how self-flattering and unreal others appear to be. My message today is simply a reminder to belong to the first category always. No one connects with un-realness yet almost everyone connects with humbleness and love. Listening to ourselves talk and learning to switch the conversation from I’m great to you’re great is a powerful life transforming skill.

This is so bang on the money, Bern. Having worked with people for 25 years (most of them as a leader - with teams up to 85+ consultants), I can wholeheartedly agree with what you say about focussing on others greatness. My own successes have been as a direct result of providing an environment that supports, enables and nurtures OTHERS greatness - allowing my team to demonstrate THEIR greatness (and to reap the rewards that that brings) allows me to 'bask in the reflected glory' of their achievements. If my team achieves wild and crazy success, then - more often than not - so do I. Though NEVER at the expense of giving credit where credit is due. What do you think?

Hi Dean, So glad to hear you already practice radical humility and are a servant leader (the best kind out there). In the end you know what you are about and what you are capable of creating, no need to shout it out to the world. The more you can continue letting your teams shine, the more they will genuinely want you to shine as well. Thank you for sharing your story with me and for proving with real actions that this stuff actually works. I really appreciate your visit and comment. Abrazos, -Bernardo

Hey Bernardo, I'm with Elena. You pack quite a punch in only 60 seconds. What it left me with is considering where I am and how I want to improve in ways that will impact. Live it LOUD!

Hi Rob, Thank you for your words and so glad you found perhaps a situation or two where this might be somewhat useful. I just think that anyone will respect and appreciate you more for who you are than who you say you are :) Enjoy this amazing day! -Bernardo

Hi Elena, So glad you liked the message and love that you spread this message already. Although certain interactions I had sparked this post I also feel that I could always use some remembering to be humble and just be :) Have a fantastic long weekend too. Thank you for commenting my friend! -Bernardo
