Great post - it's all about the small steps right? I like what you said about it "not being selfish" to want to take care of yourself and prioritize your health. So true - how can you fully serve others if you're exhausted and over-stressed? It reminds me of how they tell you on an airplane to take care of your own oxygen mask first before you help others. If you don't take care of you first, you won't have enough air to help anybody else!

Hi Heather, so glad to see you over here :) Yes, the small steps you refer to are what I like to call "the one degree difference". Move one degree to the left and walk for a few dozen miles and you will end up in a different destination than if you had continued moving down a given path. I believe health is not just a once in a lifetime decision but a series of decisions that each of us make everyday. I really appreciate you visiting, I really like what you do on your vlog and look forward to seeing how it will grow and evolve my friend. -Un abrazo, Bernardo

Hi Bernardo, I loved this short video. Your accent also makes it such a pleasure to listen to. :) I have been going to the gym for the past two months and I can testify that it definitely gives you more energy to give out to others. It also makes one feel more physically confident to do more things. I'm still well overweight, but I know I'm getting much stronger. In the long term I'll know I'll get my weight down. Thanks for sharing these four ideas.

Hi Max, Glad to see you again and even more exited to hear you've discovered the power that exercise can bring into your life. Being overweight can be a temporary physical state and being fit & healthy, like most things, is an easily achievable strategy that requires 80% mental strength and 20% strategy. I honesty believe that the second you start making progress towards health your entire body and surrounding ecosystem moves to support you in that direction. The more you are able to focus on that strength you wrote about in your comment, the easier it will be to "sacrifice" some unhealthy habits and replace them with that feeling of strength. If I may suggest a couple of things that may help you on your journey. Check out my vlog post about sugar and if you want to take on my challenge there, consume no more than 5grms of sugar per meal and no more than 15grms of sugar per day. This alone can allow you to drop a significant amount of bad fat in very little time. I would like to hear from you, if you are generous enough to share this here: what made you start going to the gym two months ago. and what are you doing today to ensure that this new powerful and healthy direction in your life stays with you long term even through challenging times? Thank you so much for contributing to this vlog and look forward to updates form you as you achieve your health and fitness goals. Bernardo
