The easy way to find truth through exercise

Do you think it is possible to use the time you already spend exercising to anchor yourself to the present moment? What if you could use exercise as vehicle to live more honestly in your life? What if you did not need to spend any extra time in order to practice the kind of conscious awareness that can attract whatever you want into your life?

:] This was fantastic. Baby steps to that kind of awareness seems like a small action but is so powerful. Well done! Much love to you <3

I really love this post Bernardo! Very, very wise advice/challenges here. I'm excited because I'm actually going out for a run momentarily! Yeah! Excercise is considered my "down" time, my refilling time. I love to notice things around and literally say "thank you, thank you" over and over again because I am able to do this; my body is able to do this. We take that for granted far too often. Your challenges are ones I'm going to set into practice and I will give you a report my friend. Oh you're gifts are the best Bernardo - thank you! Blue, happy skies to you! Elena

Hi Elena, So glad to catch you before your run then! I am grateful you are putting this challenge to the test. I guess in the end my job a as a vlogger is a bit of a waste if I cannot persuade people to go beyond "watching" and actually put the learnings to the test. Life is about being and also doing and although inspiration is great, the fruit of inspiration is even greater! Thank you so much for visiting Elena. Sending you awesomeness and smiles my friend! -Bernardo

Running or yoga are my favorite forms of therapy. Whenever I'm in a bad mood it somehow makes all my worries seem less significant. But I can't run in the city without losing myself in some music. too much noise and distraction. I know I know I should meditate through that. But I'm a mountain girl - running in the woods - nothing beats it. with my dog. Watching my dog bound through a meadow with a big smile on her face, and yes, hearing my breath and the sound of my feet on the soft ground? Awesome stuff. Thanks Bernardo!!

HI Lisa, You and I have something in common I also love yoga and running :) I understand your need for music because I too run with music. I guess my exercise in presence is not necessarily exclusive of music, you can practice presence while listening to music as long as you don't just take a wild mind trip while you are running. It can start with just 1 minute, and the act of listening to music may actually help you practice under "harder" conditions since rarely will you find a day to day moment that has no noise. Let me know if you are able to do it even if it is for just a moment while you run in the beautiful city of Chicago. Sending you a BIG hug and thank you so much for your support and for taking the time to comment! Love -Bernardo

Bernardo, I had to listen to this one twice! So much good stuff in it! I love that you use your exercise time for more than exercising your body! I can think of times in the past when I've had something on my mind and went for a walk to the park. I would walk and walk, connecting with nature and fellow-park dwellers, and then walk home. When I got home I felt better even though I couldn't recall any thinking that resolved the problem I had on my mind. I'm going to take this advice the next time I'm on my rebounder and see what happens. Will try to remember to come back and report ;-) Lori P.S. LOL - just noticed the name of my post below "Getting off the Treadmill..." As if one SHOULDN'T exercise! LOL

Hi Lori, I am so glad you found some value in this video! As you mentioned, sometimes simply the act of moving and disengaging from that internal chaos can be enough to light up your day and if you really thing about it can create such a strong magnetic field within your life that it could even light up someone else's life too. The key is consistency so that those fleeting moments feeling your own truth can expand into your daily activities without even noticing. Thank you Lori for sharing your experience and I would love to hear back on how this practice helped you on your rebounder. Sending you a big hug. -Bernardo

This is EXACTLY why I run. This is also why I don't run with a headset, I want to feel my feet hitting the ground, how out of breath I am, the stretch in my legs and most importantly I don't want to disconnect my brain from what my body is doing. We live in aworld which is constantly offering us ways to disconnect, we tweet when we eat, check Facebook on the stationary bike, send emails when we are supposed to be playing with our loved ones. This sucks! Stay present. Great post and yes to exercise.

Hi John, Happy to hear you already get (not intellectually, but at a gut level where it really matters) that physical movement can bring you to reality, to a truth that is the force of life unfolding in each step. It is quite a challenge to disconnect sometimes but exercise offers us a gateway to re find ourselves and get some insights to be more, give more and do more. I really appreciate you sharing your experience and have a feeling that you can use that energy gained while running to do whatever you want in life! Keep on being present my friend. -Bernardo
