My video today is a personal invitation to employ your courage in order to see possibilities before seeing problems, and be able to see it (life, a new opportunity, a challenge) working before seeing it not working.
GOOD morning, Bernardo!
Just finished listening to your interview with Srinivas Rao from the BlogcastFM archives. So nice to hear you! :)
And then I find this in my reader. Yay!
I couldn't agree with you more. I have accomplished many unlikely things simply because I expected a positive outcome.
For instance, I survived a divorce, became a single mom, and managed to simultaneously and spontaneously go into business for myself (something I'd never done before) and then keep it running (and growing!) for 5+ years (and counting).
When friends and colleagues ask me how I did it, I tell them, I just believed. It sounds a little woo-woo, and of course there were tactical and strategic elements to my story as well, BUT I know in my heart that one of my most important assets has been my ability to expect the best. When work started to slow down, I didn't panic. I just KNEW that something else would be coming along around the next corner. And (knock on wood) it always has. Every, single time.
Our minds are powerful creators of reality. Most people assume that our minds simply process what the world puts in front of them, but some people have discovered that the mind is part of the creation process that builds that world. Embracing the positive will help us find and grasp the opportunities to bring that positive force into our lives. Woo-woo? Maybe. True? Definitely!
